Nine years ago our Artistic Director met the Founder of Community Renewal International. This began a journey of sharing and learning culminating in an approach to community engaged practice supportive of the mission of Community Renewal. Recognizing we live in a time which demands a change in our approach to how we relate to one another, Art For Social Renewal positions the artist as someone who has the capacity to:

• hold the vision of what a renewed society can look and feel like
• show the way toward that vision through lived experience
• cultivate empathy for and connection to the vision within their communities
• awaken human beings to their creative capacity to realize this vision together in relationship

Art for Social Renewal stands on four pillars:

Whole Artist Elements: curiosity, courage, hunger, passion, connectivity, knowledge, sensual development
