Our Voice Our Day!

Although this project ended on November 3rd, we invite you to explore the pages associated to this work to more fully understand its intent. We anticipate “Our Voice Our Day” will evolve into an ongoing project of Creative Corps in the coming months and would love your involvement

This project is dedicated to the Honorable John Lewis. We hope our participants carry forward his belief that the right to vote is the first right that opens all others in order to actively envision and make manifest a healthy democratic society.

Artists & Non-Artists joined us for ‘Open mic’ live streams using art to inspire deep discussion and activism into our relationship to voting and participation in building healthy community.

Five events between leading to Election Day 2020 focused on a theme that touches us personally and communally. Participants left equipped to easily hold their own event with peers and friends who may be unsure if their vote matters. And, if you couldn’t join us, you can still be an activist on this issue with materials and instructions found on our Take Action page!

You can write us at info@theglobaltheatreproject.org for further information.

Or if you are an artist of any discipline, you can pop over to our Artists’ Materials, Sources and Guide page now to dive right in. As always, any questions just contact us through email or social media (see below for links)

There is nothing more real or tangible for our mission of creating healthy community than using the arts as an inspiration for exploring the complex questions of what the vote means to each of us both personally and as a connection to our society. And, more importantly, to each other.

Join the conversation and get involved through our Facebook Group, Instagram, Twitter or by getting on our mailing list

We are thrilled to be working with these four young artists spear-heading this project focusing on the voting block of 18-29 year olds:

Complacency is both a death to artists and healthy democracies.

This project will use the arts and contemplative discussion to raise up young adults in our nation.
